The Two Lives of Sacajawea
A young Native American woman carrying her newborn son journeyed with Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to the Pacific Ocean . She served as an interpreter but also provided assurance that the Corps of Discovery was a peaceful expedition. We will explore her later life. Did she die in 1812 or did she live with a Comanche tribe and survive until 1884?
